  • Conception and development of a user-friendly mobile app that enables all business to start measuring their food waste, today. 
  • Close collaboration with sector partners ensured that the measurement processes would fit in with existing kitchen processes, to minimise the time investment and maximise return. 
  • Development of a premium version, delivered added value features for heavier app users, while unlocking a sustainable funding stream for continued app delivery and development.

  • Design thinking process to better understand the challenges young consumers face when looking to eat more healthily and sustainably.  

  • Close collaboration with national and international partners to develop the "Good Food Guidelines" that define the app content.

  • Development of the app specifications, beta testing and constant refinement of the product. 

  • Coordination of two digital launches (iOS in June 2018, Android & multiple languages in October 2018)

  • Completion of an evaluation exercise to assess the app's impact.

  • Organisation of a national Talent Workshop with survey respondents, sector representatives and policy makers to discuss the policy implications of the findings

  • Coordination of an interactive Side Event as part of the 42nd Committee on World Food Security in Rome, in collaboration with FAO Washington, YPARD and George Washington University.  â€‹

  • Online dissemination of project findings, including articles in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Food Tank, LID, BauernZeitung, Wir essen die Welt und YPARD.

  • Facilitation of an online dialogue with 200+ health and social care professionals to build consensus about what Care and Support Planning should look like. 

  • Development of a guide, endorsed by over 20 national organisations, including NHS England, the National Association of Primary Care, the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Nursing

  • Creation and delivery of a communications campaign, including celebrity endorsement and a Thunderclap, which reached over 370, 000 people on social media.

  • The guide was referenced in a large number of national policy and guidance documents and the Care Act 2014.
